Role of the Government Remuneration Tribunal (GRT)
The Government established the Government Remuneration Tribunal on 21 September 1998 under the GRT Act NO.20 of 1998, the purpose of the Tribunal is to consider and determine the maximum remuneration payable to those persons employed by or appointed to positions by the Government or by an agency of Government.
2017 Determinations Based on the Powers vested on the Government Remuneration Tribunal Board and sections 13 (1) (c) and 15 (3) of the Government Remuneration Tribunal act of 1998, the determinations of the institutions listed below were completed in 2017; Daily Subsistence Allowance;Sectors;Members of Parliament;Public Service Commission;Malvatumauri Council of Chiefs;Vanuatu Police Force;Teaching Service Commission;Provincial Governments & Municipalities
