Determination for Government Officials for Local Travel

Based on the Powers vested on the Government Remuneration Tribunal Board and sections 13 (1) (c) and 15 (3) of the Government Remuneration Tribunal act of 1998, and following a submission by the Council of Ministers the Board hereby determined as follows;

That the new rate for Daily Subsistence Allowances and accommodation for local travel to outer islands shall be vt 5,000 per night.
That in the case where accommodation is provided for and or paid through an accountable imprest or by a donor, the rate of subsistence allowance shall be vt 2,000 per night per person.
That the effective date for the implement of the determination is 1st of January 2014.
